Confidence Class Newsletter for Online Entrepreneurs

Balancing Your Work and Home Life - Volume 1

Before you can find success in the online entrepreneurial world, you have to have confidence that you're doing the right thing.

It can be hard to have that confidence when loved ones are questioning your intentions, well-meaning friends are demeaning what you want to do, and you're mired in guilt because you "should" be doing other things.

Volume 1 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about Balancing Your Work and Home Life - and I created it because I see so many people without a support system in place, and they need tools to help them succeed with or without that support.

Here is what volume 1 covers in regards to gaining confidence and balancing your work and home life:

Having “The Talk” With Loved Ones – It's hard to tell loved ones that you're about to become an online entrepreneur. It's intimidating and you need to be strong in order to convince them it's the right direction for you. I show you how to approach people with a plan in place that quells their fears and allows you to embark on a new career with your head held high!

Saying “No” to Errands Just Because You’re Home – Almost all of us have someone in our lives who thinks that just because you work at home, it means you're at home - not working. They feel you're available to cook, clean, run their errands, or even sit on the phone and chat with them for hours. Have the confidence to put a stop to this and proudly tackle your business tasks each day without guilt.

You’re Still a Good Parent If You Work in Front of the Kids – It's hard to balance the babies with the business, but you should have the confidence that what you're doing it a great and loving move for your family - not one born out of selfishness. I teach you how to handle both your parenting and business responsibilities without feeling anxious about neglecting either one.

Setting Sail on a Solo Career – Suddenly, you're not in a cubicle surrounded by co-workers with a boss breathing down your neck. While it might sound like a blessing, it can be intimidating going it alone - no longer having a support system in place or anyone to shoulder the blame when things go wrong. You need confidence in building your business without a team in place to help you.

I see confidence lacking in so many entrepreneurs, even if they've been making money on a consistent basis for months - or even years! It's a hard feeling to squash, but I'm going to help you do it.

Niche Leadership - Volume 2

When you make the decision to work from home online, it's intimidating to go into any niche and label yourself an expert.

Volume 2 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about having the courage to go into any niche - even if you have absolutely zero experience - because there are other factors that determine how your audience reacts.

Here is what volume 2 covers in regards to gaining confidence and becoming a niche leader:

Are Consumers Searching for Experts or Leaders? – The answer may surprise you. The fact is, your audience will feel more connected to you if you approach this not as an expert, but as a leader (even if you're starting out from the most basic fundamentals).

Gauge How Much You Know – One of the best ways to feel confident about something is to be honest about what you know and then make plans to gain even more knowledge. You don't have to tap into a niche where you're already an expert - you just have to enjoy being in the niche, period!

Continual Learning – Even the most bona fide experts (with a PhD hanging on their office walls) make efforts to expand their insight in whatever niche they're in. You have to understand the best ways to learn more so that you can share more with your audience.

Compare Yourself to Others – We always talk about "spying" on the competition. Well this is similar, but it's for a good reason - not to crush them, but to compete on a higher level.

Tips on Sharing Your Newfound Expertise - There are several different styles of sharing your knowledge. We'll cover a few methods you can use to work your continual learning process into your business model.

Confidence Is Born of Experiences - Getting past your fear of sharing online in a niche. Many people wait until they've done it all and can share that know-how. Instead, they ought to be sharing their experiences as they go.

Organization and Time Management Issues - Volume 3

Chaos can impede your progress when it comes to getting things done. Your productivity doesn't have to suffer from alack of organization and time management skills.

Volume 3 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about getting everything straight - from your hard drive to your work surroundings, so that you have clarity and confidence moving forward with your daily tasks.

Here is what volume 3 covers in regards to gaining confidence and becoming organized with your work belongings and time:

What Do Organization and Timing Have to Do With Confidence? – I'll explain the connection between having order in your career and being confident to make money online.

Putting an End to Your Hoarding Ways – In Internet Marketing circles, we call it "shiny new object syndrome" - you buy or download a product, get started, see something else that catches your eye, and abandon the previous one. It's a recipe for continual failure - and I'll help you move past it.

Office Space and Filing Systems – Setting up a system that creates a calming, non intimidating environment that makes it easy for you to sit down and check off items on your to do list.

Give Yourself the Freedom to Go Out of Order – I call it "FrankenTiffing" when I do this, and it's all about giving yourself permission to manipulate what you learn so that it suits your needs better. This results in better quality and higher productivity.

Set a Schedule That's Appealing to YOU - There are several different schedules that can work well for online entrepreneurs. The key is to find one that works for you. It should be enjoyable, but at the same time, help you achieve your goals.

Official Tool to Help You Map Out Your Projects and Time - Tips on Mind Mapping your way to success, regardless of whether you use an online software or a simple pen and paper to do the job.

Forum Participation - Volume 4

Forums can offer you many benefits - camaraderie, support, niche insight, and more. But unfortunately, a lack of confidence can prevent you from participating in forums.

Volume 4 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about taking steps to ensure you get off on the right foot inside a forum. I won't lie and say it's all rainbows and unicorns - because it's not - but you can avoid common mistakes that make people attack you.

Here is what volume 4 covers in regards to having confidence when you start to implement forum participation in any niche:

The Importance of a Profile Pic – I'll not only tell you the truth about what you're going to encounter, but I'll share some tips on how to make a good impression.

Finding the Best Way You Can Contribute – This is a biggie for many newbies (and even seasoned marketers) - they feel like their $0.02 isn't even worth that - that in fact, nobody cares what they have to say. I'll help you gain confidence in that area.

Handling Trolls, Cliques and Old Timers – These three beasts make forum participation harder than it should be, so I empower you to handle these three types of members with ease, so they don't shake your confidence.

Know the Rules – One of the worst mistakes non lurkers can make. It will boost your confidence if you know you're abiding by the forum rules, so we'll cover some common ones.

Lurk, But Not Too Long - I fully support your right to lurk, but we need to cover what you hope to get out of this forum experience and if it's more than just reading, then you have to have confidence in that first post in months or years.

Be a Welcome Wagon of Your Own - The best way to meet new people and make friends with ease - even in the face of forum old timers, trolls and general haters.

Having Confidence With Your Multi Media - Volume 5

If you want to be successful online, then you have to embrace one or more (preferably more) of the media outlets provided for you.

You might feel comfortable starting out with one, but it's important that you move outside your comfort zone and try out new ways to reach out to people and deliver your message.

Volume 5 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about Having Confidence With Your Multi Media - because we could all use some help feeling a little less nervous when we write content, record an audio file, or film a video to put online.

Here is what volume 5 covers about gaining confidence with your multi media presentations:

Feeling Confident With Your Text – This section includes advice no how to better get prepared for your blog posts, email autoresponders, social networking, information product creation, and sales copy.

Gaining Confidence in Your Audio Productions – Even if you're not sporting a Texas Twang like I am, you may feel like you need a boost in confidence with your podcasts or audiobooks.

Video Confidence Tips – No one can deny that YouTube marketing works. You want to be able to put yourself out there, but maybe you're too nervous about having people pick you apart. This section will help with that issue.

Having Confidence With Your Technical Tasks - Volume 6

Being able to get a business online means you have to handle all of the technical tasks associated with your strategy.

Eventually, you might be able to hire someone for all of this, either as a freelancer or a fulltime employee.

Volume 6 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about Having Confidence With Your Technical Tasks, because whether you do it yourself or outsource it, you need to know how it works so that you're able to handle it.

Here is what volume 6 covers about gaining confidence with your technical tasks:

Your Anxiety Stems From Perfectionism - Once you can let go of everything having to be just right, it makes it easier (and less stressful) to get things launched online.

Frustration Will Exist, But It’s Not Permanent - There is no way to remove your frustration 100% but there is a certain mindset that successful marketers use to overcome obstacles.

Gaining Confidence With Your Graphics - This is one technical tasks that most of us need, but few of us have the skill to do. Getting bogged down in this task can prevent you from making sales sooner.

Domains and Hosting Can Cause Inner Turmoil - I've seen people in tears because they can't even get the first step going - buying a domain and setting up hosting. This isn't telling you how to do it, but how to handle doing it.

Site Building Can Feel Overwhelming at First - Before you max out the credit cards trying to get a web presence, understand that you have other options. Accept the fact that it's okay to build in bits and pieces, and not have a perfect website in under 24 hours.

Keyword Tools, Video and Everything Else - Lump all of the other technical stuff together because it all works the same way. Whether you're trying to figure out how to upload a video on YouTube or wield the power of a pricey keyword tool, you have to know how to master tools or find the right guidance to help you navigate your way through.

Having Confidence With Outsourcing - Volume 7

You'd think that with outsourcing, you were the one in charge and there should be no fear involved. After all, someone is working for you, right?

Well yes and no. They're working for you, but not as an employee - and it can be intimidating when you're investing money and time picking the right person to handle an important part of your business.

Volume 7 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about Having Confidence With Outsourcing, because once you can hand off tasks with peace of mind, it will help you grow your business faster.

Here is what volume 7 covers about gaining confidence with outsourcing:

Scared You’re About to Hire the Wrong Person? - This will help you learn how to vet the right people to prevent mishaps from occurring. You want to learn the right way to choose your freelancers so that you develop long-term freelance relationships.

Confidence in Asking for What You Want - Both sides often have a failure to communicate properly. You have to know what things to ask for - because the freelance worker may not think to ask you these questions.

It's Okay to Complain When It's Warranted - People are so shy about complaining when things don't do their way. They slink off and chalk it up to a lesson learned. Don't accept that! Learn how to deal with a bad situation and hopefully, make it right.

Getting Ripped Off? Get Mad and Get Even - This isn't what you pursue if both parties mean well and just don't agree. This advice is for when there is an obvious case of theft and unfair behavior - it's to protect you and your investment.

Having Confidence With Blogging - Volume 8

Blogging is a staple for online marketers - and it's pretty much a staple for offline businesses who want to bring in online shoppers.

But for some reason, it scares many people into avoiding it completely - or doing it so wrong that they give up because they can't figure out why they failed (they take it personally - as if no one liked them).

Volume 8 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about Having Confidence With Blogging, because once you become comfortable with technical stuff, putting yourself out there, and interacting with people, it isn't just tolerable - it's enjoyable!

Here is what volume 8 covers about gaining confidence with blogging:

Blogging Seems So Simple, Yet It's Hard for Many - This covers one of the biggest, and most common reasons why blogs fail. It's such an easy fix - but it's also the one thing that terrifies most would-be bloggers.

Getting Past Your Fear of a Blog's Technical Set Up Steps - This is NOT a "how to set up a blog" section. There are already tons of instructions out there. This is about not giving up and being afraid to mess something technical up. It's about finding answers with confidence.

Why Are You Afraid That No One Will Listen to You? - Do you feel rejected if you set up a blog and no one comments? Or if people don't even come to the blog? This section helps you address those issues.

Finding Topics to Blog About Is Easy - After reading this section, you should never again utter any excuses about not knowing what to blog about. There's simply too many ideas for you to use this as a crutch, and I'll show you how to have confidence finding them!

Using Feedback to Bolster Your Confidence - There are three kinds of blog comments - praise, haters and spammers. You can use the first two to your advantage - but unfortunately, I see too many people who don't recognize the last one because these guys are good at what they do to get you to approve their post - and they affect you emotionally.

Having Confidence With Offering Services - Volume 9

Whenever people ask me where to start making money online, I always tell them services - because it's faster money when you're getting paid to do tasks that successful marketers have no time to do, don't like to do, or just need someone with more talent to do.

The problem is, a newcomer to service providing has no confidence - so they kiss up to the successful marketers and become prey, rather than a valued resource.

Volume 9 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about Having Confidence With Offering Services, because confidence will literally help you charge more, will attract more clients, and will enable you to control the projects.

Here is what volume 9 covers about gaining confidence with offering services:

Don’t Compare Yourself in Talent or Price as an Excuse - This covers a common problem with service providers. You think you're not good enough. You give up because there are people underbidding you. No more excuses.

Do Compare Yourself in Talent and Price for Competitiveness - There is a time to start comparing yourself - and that's when it comes to being competitive. Business owners do this all the time, and it's wise, not weak.

Taking Criticism – Always Work on Improving Your Skills - You will have people who don't like what you do. It's a fact of life. But what you do with that criticism is up to you. Here's how to gain an edge in the marketplace.

Realize That Customers Like Confidence, Prey on Anxiety - Being shy and humble might seem like it would make a marketer coddle you and go easy on you, but it's the exact opposite. They'll eat you alive if you display any signs of weakness. And they'll crave you if you're confident.

Finding, Keeping and Cutting Your Clients - Customers are everywhere -  you have to go after them. You also have to be able to keep them, and know when cutting them is the best thing for your business.

Having Confidence With Product Creation - Volume 10

There is really good money in product creation, but the problem is - many of you don't feel confident that you're qualified to create products!

It's a shame, because having your own products out there working for you as a residual income (where affiliates can promote for you, too) is a real income booster.

Volume 10 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about Having Confidence With Product Creation, because once you start putting your own products out there, you'll find it's actually easier to generate affiliate income, too.

Here is what volume 10 covers about gaining confidence with product creation:

Feeling Comfortable With Your Niche - You won't be able to put your own products out if you're constantly worrying that you're not cut out to be a leader.

Developing a Unique Slant - "Everything's been done before" is a common worry among marketers too paralyzed to put their own products out in the marketplace. It's important to set yourself apart.

Conducting Thorough Research - Being a confident leader means you have to be a gatherer and hunter - gather information and hunt it down and then feed it to your people who are craving it!

Conveying Information With Confidence - Pulling a product together can be intimidating. You might worry about presenting your content, but you shouldn't be.

Ensuring Your Product Is Close to Perfection - You don't want complaints and refunds over little things that could easily be fixed. Making sure these items are in order will give you confidence with your launch.

Upping the Ante - Bonuses, one time offers and upsells - they're an integral part of many official launches, so you might feel like it's daunting trying to come up with something on par with the gurus.

Handling Refund Requests - It's inevitable. You have to be ready to look at it correctly and handle it properly. You don't react poorly when you know the true reasons why people refund.

Having Confidence With Sales Copy - Volume 11

Creating your own products is the #1 strategy that is most profitable for me. In all areas, it helps boost your income. When you've created your own products, it's easier to sell as an affiliate.

Unfortunately, many marketers are so terrified of creating their sales copy that they either freeze up and never complete it, or they put out something disastrous.

Volume 11 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about Having Confidence With Sales Copy, because you can have the best product in the universe - but if your copy doesn't convert, no one will get to see your genius in action.

Here is what volume 11 covers about gaining confidence with sales copy:

Forget About Length - There is no "5 printed pages" magic number. Some sales letters are 1 page, some are all video, and some are 25 pages of scrolling madness. I'll teach you how to have confidence and know when enough is enough.

Forget About Formulas - The stale advice to have a cookie cutter copy formula isn't going to help you set yourself apart as a leader. You need to be unique, and I'll give you the confidence to write copy on the fly.

Forget About Faking It - Phony sales copy can be spotted a million miles away. Do you just want to be the guy who tricks naive newbies - or someone whose products everyone can't wait to get their hands on?

Forget About Being Sneaky and Secretive - Vague sales copy never did anyone any favors. You might convert more with some, out of sheer curiosity - but converting isn't all you have to worry about - retention of sales is more important. And you'll lose some conversions because those people aren't looking to buy a surprise in a box. I'll show you how to appeal to people with the truth.

Forget About Hard Selling - There's a place for used car salesmen types - on a car lot! They don't belong on your sales copy, so stuff the yelling and force-fed buying model into a closet and never open it. I'll show you how to confidently sell without sacrificing your true voice.

Remember What Converts With You - It's okay to blaze a trail being different with sales copy. I'm going to show you why you shouldn't be settling for sales techniques that are outdated - and how you can apply what you like to your own buyers.

Having Confidence With List Communication - Volume 12

Starting the list building process can be scary. You know you need a list - you worry that you're not big enough to have one yet - or that nobody will care what you have to say.

If this describes you - or even if you have a list but you're struggling, then this is a good part of the Confidence Class series for you to master.

Volume 12 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about Having Confidence With List Communication, because when you have a fierce, loyal list of subscribers, it's like having an army of support - and your sales will reflect your efforts.

Here is what volume 12 covers about gaining confidence with list communication:

Know Who You're Talking To - Being able to cater to the needs of your audience is vital in getting your list to grow and then keeping those numbers on the rise.

What to Say in Your Emails - The scary part for some - how do you provide value, not be labeled a spammer, and generate sales and profits with the words you use to your list?

When to Email Your List - So many people are nervous about frequency. How much is too much? How much isn't enough? There's not a specific number - you have to go off other factors.

Why Should Your List Trust You? - Trust is what converts, period. You're going to be developing a bond with your subscribers - or if you don't, you'll see weak conversions like 3-4% tops. My conversion rate with my list is 25-30%. Amazing. Refunds? Virtually non existent. Under the 1% mark. There's a reason for this.

How to Make Communications a Two-Way Street - I don't care which niche you're in - the people on your list are hoping for a connection. They want you to know their needs so that you can provide a solution. I teach you how to make that happen.

Handling Unsubscribe Comments - When you get an unsub, it'll either be blank, rude, or kind. And you're going to get all three - even if you're the nicest man or woman on the planet. Here's how to handle it (trust me - I had to learn this myself).

Having Confidence With Customer Service - Volume 13

Unless you're strictly operating as a tangible affiliate marketer, chances are you'll need to sharpen your customer service skills and be ready for whatever comes your way.

Some marketers fail miserably with customer management - either not responding to their needs or turning it into a battle between buyer and seller.

Volume 13 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about Having Confidence With Customer Service - because once you have a stellar reputation for that, people will feel more at ease buying from you.

Here is what volume 13 covers about gaining confidence with customer service:

Staying on Top of Customer Service - Timeliness is very important. People worry when they send money to a stranger online - did you just rip them off?

Technical Issues - What If You Don't Know? - Not knowing something technical that your customer needs help with can sabotage your confidence. There's an easy way to handle this.

Handling a Rabid Customer - Every one of you will encounter some of these. They're all over the place - and you have to be prepared for them.

Fight Back Against Unfair Practices - The customer is NOT always right. Here's what to do if they're wrong.

Be Willing to Compromise - There are some good faith skills you can develop to help nurture your reputation online.

Going Above and Beyond - It's not about meeting demand or doing what's asked of you - it's about going over and above what you should do.

Having Confidence With WSOs - Volume 14

The Warrior Special Offer forum is a special place where you can build a business if it involves helping other marketers learn the ropes of online marketing.

Simply being an ethical seller already puts you miles ahead of many other sellers, but you can't succeed if you're too intimidated to even go through with a listing.

Volume 14 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about Having Confidence With WSOs - because once you gain traction as a quality seller, it can really boost your branding and profits.

Here is what volume 14 covers about gaining confidence with WSOs:

First WSO Jitters - Many people are selling things on their sites or on Squidoo, but just about faint at the idea of having to post a WSO.

Is It Worth the WSO Fee? - A WSO listing costs $40 and $40 for every bump you give it. If you don't go into this with confidence, then you won't recoup your investment.

How Does Your WSO Sales Copy Stack Up? - Before you just go copy someone else, learn how to gain a loyal following.

Is Your Offer Built to Impress? - It's called Warrior SPECIAL Offer because it's supposed to knock their socks off.

What Testimonials and Reviews Can Do for You - There's a right way and a wrong way to give your customers confidence in buying through the use of reviews and testimonials.

Traffic and Affiliate Recruitment - You can't rely on automatic WSO traffic to make you sales. You want to attract your specific target audience - and gain affiliates, too.

Having Confidence With JVs and Affiliates - Volume 15

Once you have a product to sell, you'll want to bring partners and affiliates onboard to help you promote it and to help you reach a wider audience.

But being relatively unknown means you have a lot of fear of being turned down - some of which is understandable, but some that's preventable.

Volume 15 of the Confidence Newsletter is all about Having Confidence With JV partnerships and affiliates because you need to feel comfortable contacting others in your niche to boost your sales.

Here is what volume 15 covers about gaining confidence with JVs and affiliates:

Nailing Down an Offer for JVs and Affiliates - Understanding what your partners want is half the battle - because then you're prepared to give it to them.

Vetting Who Gets to Promote Your Products - Making your product a free for all means you might be putting yourself at risk.

Creating Tools Others Can Use to Help You Profit - Having an affiliate toolbox can help win over potential JV partners and affiliates. I'll show you how to create a special one.

Making Promotions Fun and Inviting - Leaderboards and rewards can entice people to get onboard and begin promoting your products.

What If They Say No? - Handling rejection is important - not only for your emotional well being, but to help you stay confident in bringing future partners onboard.

Knowing How, When and Why to Turn Down Reciprocal Promos - There's a ton of back scratching going on with JV partners and affiliates. Know when to say no - even if it means losing someone who would have promoted for you.
